My Bad - it was French & Saunders! Roland Rivron was the lawyer - I was convinced it was Kenny with the Big Yin as the judge - memory ain't what it was!

Hi, I have a vague memory of a Kenny sketch - Kenny's a prosecution lawyer and I think Ralph McTell is in the dock. One by one the best guitarists of the time come in as witnesses for the prosecution first playing without the (Ralph McTell) book - beautifully, then with the book really badly! It was absolutely hilarious, especially as (I think) the sketch appeared throughout the episode, each time with a new witness and Kenny saying "Now, with the book" with the obvious result.
My friends and I now use "And now with the book" as a catchphrase to distinguish a complete numpty from an expert!
Trouble is I can't find the episode!! Please help, I'd love to see it again
Cheers

I must apology for not to answer your question, Benny. I checked and I found the answer. I also realized there was an error on my site. Now it's fixed.
The sketch you're talking about is called "Behind the Scenes of the BBC: BUM. You can find it from episode S01X01: Merry Xmas (Dec. 24, 1981) and In the Best Possible Taste! (March 1, 1999). So, it was from the BBC period.
That sketch DID NOT appear in S02e04 (Season 2 Episode 4) as I stated before. That "Behind the Scenes of the BBC" was a different version. I fixed it to my site.

I cant seem to find my favourite Kenny sketch? COuld anyone give me a prod in the right direction?
Kenny in the halls of the BBC, off to see the B.U.M., bumps into to Wogan who sees the B.U.M. first and gets blown through a wall by a fart.

Paul, You have to be a bit more specific that that!
Ken was doing TV AND radio in 70!
But I think your chanses are None, No epps of Kens 70 TV series(s) exists, we think perhaps a reel of 10 mins lengh from the entire lot survives. Radio is diffrent and an offair may exist. Ill have a look. But you should be directing your questions to me 78rpm@iinet.net.au. as I have , lets say, a larger collection of Ev that the guy who runs thins site. Plus Im restoring em too.

Hi.
I am a huge Thunderclap Newman fan. Last night I came across an article on Thunderclap Newman from issue 15 of Zig Zag (dated September 1970). In the article, Speedy Keen mentions the band being on the Kenny Everett show. So I did some research and the group was on the November 7, 1970 episode.

I was wondering if it was possible to get a copy of the episode?
All the best, Paul

Ive restored two Video shows now. They look great and are now in STEREO!
Perhaps the mod may want to do a feature on my work?
