Synopsis: The Third and Last World War is about to end. People are vanishing on the face of the Earth. Frank Castle aka The Punisher has still a revenge to fullfill. He tries to rise up from the ashes of New York City. Not a rat has survived. And The Punisher is an aged, poor man.
Comment: Very strong story and art. In Mr. Corben's new area of traditional super heros he is at his best in here. He is again drawing art without tonal grays, but his stoke is this time more delicate than usual. You can find very fine strokes on these panels. Every single panel is framed with color sorrow extra frame and surrounded with hopelessly black background. The destructed, spread frame of the ruins of New York City in the middle of the story is astonished view to share. And only bright color you can find from this story is the flickering, toxic sky. I just love his The Punisher teeth on pg 37.
