Fantagor and Uk
Geee! I never thought we’d ever see the light of day again. But here we are, …Fantagor and my borther Uk. Let’s see, it’s been ten years since we last lurked through our comic world of grim witted fantasy covered with gore gravey. Yum, yum.
Some of you old timers might remember Razar. …Well I needed a familiar face to keep me company in this “brave new world.” While I was buried under there, I had many strange, horrible and wonderful dreams I’d like to tell you about. One is included here about my friend Dumog the Ogre. So let’s get on with it.

Tate
Well, well. Ol’ Fantagor’s got revieved… Big deal (!) hmmf… Gurgy Tate was tellin’ scarey stories long before he was even thought of. I think I shoulda’ been the one to host this magazine, especially since it may appear then never be heard from again (snif). Even ol’ Horrilor snuk in and played the part of Mortana in Ogre II. ‘Course it took a lot of plastic surgery and special make up to get her ready for the part, …to make her look that good that is. He, he he!
So here I am wallowing in mortification, but I can pass on some useless trivia. Razar the Unhero was first published in Fantagor (the fanzine) in 1970. Some of the panels were redrawn for this book and it was rephotographed using an advanced tonal technique (so what?!).
The Big Shriek is the conclusion of a story by Jan Strand. For a copy of Relativity, the graphic album which began the story, sen $5.95 plus $1.50 postage to Fantagor Press, P.O. Box 5425, Kansas City, MO, 64131. I’m forced to plug the book because the stupid publisher printed way too many copies of it.
As you may have guessed (like from the title maybe?) Ogre II is the sequel of another story called Ogre which appeared in Warren’s 1984 #4. Ogre utilized an unsual phto collage technique and the intention was to complete the sequel similarly. There was some pressure against the photo technique which artist/photographer Corben ignored. But a diastrous production development forced him to abandon his graphic experimentations and draw the story.
And finally, will there be another issue of Fantagor? …Well maybe. Bye now.
