Keywords: Hostile aliens. War. Bomb. Judas.
Original Art Plate: 33,10 x 44,9, and 28,60 x 45,20 cm [Source: Angoulême, 2019].
Synopsis: Hostile aliens conquest planet after planet, and now the Earth is on the line. The Earth sends St. John to prevent them with a bomb, but St. John is actually judas.
Comment: Corben’s artwork is messy as B&W, but brilliant in colors. Richard Margopolous’ story has only one merit, an excellent ending.
Color: This story is painted, despite most (or even all the rest?) of Warren stories were made by overlay technique (to cut down expenses). The B&W version was prob. photocopied from the original, because of messy result. Sometimes they used the earlier B&W version (as was in a case of “Change… Into Something Comfortable”).
Alternatives, [VERS.2]: Poorly scanned from magazine.
Alternatives, [VERS.3]: Restored with piety by José Villarrubia.
