Synopsis: Wanderer is hired as the guard and when rich owner’s beautiful daughter is kidnapped, they put same guy in search for troops. Guy is hopelessly fell in love with the girl. During search they run into ambush, are almost eaten by spider monster and they find out beeing barking under wrong tree. Unfortunately spider is not the only monster around.
Comment: Corben’s own story was not clear at all, when I saw it first time; I thought the second part was first, because in Frazetta Illustated #2 was nothing! First chapter (in Frazetta Illustrated #1) of course clears a lot but still I find this story a little too complicated. Second chapter is kind of good for nothing in this story, except there is (again) a brilliant fighting scene! Art is Corben’s excellent style, he started in “Pollution”: full CG comics. But as we learned in Solo, he does even his full CG comics in B&W marker on paper!
Extra: While Mr. Corben was selling the original art plates (Nov. 2009) he labeled the latter story as “Tower of Horror”!
