Style: Colored with overlays. Genre: SF. Time Span: Future. Nudity: Almost full frontal nudity.
Keywords: Aliens. Reporter. Giant girl. Destruction.
Synopsis: Aliens land to witness (through reporter's magnetofone) the end of the deserted Earth. A King Kong releated story tells how a girl is born as three months old as an healthy newborn. She keeps on growing and growing until she is higher than blockhouse. And she keeps on growing.
Comment: Bruce Jones's story is brilliant. Corben's color artwork is brilliant as well. Alien parts of the story are B&W (one page Prologue and an Epilogue, which depends on version, is one/two/three pages). The interest of the gigantic girl grows with the story (till the tragic end).
Alternatives [three versions]: There is three different version of this story - 10, 11 and 12 pgs. Versions differs from each others in the Epilogue: [VERS.1] is the original version and it has got only one page Epilogue (first two frames are missing and the final frame is in the end of page). In [VERS.2] the first Epilogue page is same as in the vers. 3, but the final frame is vertically on the next (11th) page. [VERS.3] has got two extra frames (stolen from page one!) in the beginning of Epilogue page and the final frame is enlarged and cropped (!) as a spread on two next pages.
Alternatives, [VERS.5]: Restored with piety by José Villarrubia.
Special ([VERS.3]): The artwork of Heavy Metal Specials versions has been reproduced NOT from the American magazine! On a bottom of the second page is writing "SCENARIO: BRUCE JONES DESSIN: RICH CORBEN." Story itself is prob. relettered, though the title (on pg 2) looks like typed. The scanning quality is pretty poor.
