Backgrounds: Dark Sun is an original Dungeon & Dragons fantasy role-playing game released for the first time in 1991, ran until 1996, and was one of TSR’s most successful releases. In 2010, Wizards of the Coast released an updated version of the setting using the fourth edition rules. American artist Gerald Brom designed the full consept of Dark Sun in 1989.
