Style: Color overlay technique / B&W greytonals. Genre: SF. Time Span: Far future. Nudity: Full frontal nudity, except in rewored version only voluptuous girl and body tight spacesuit.
Keywords: Spaceship. Androids. Last human. Aging. Earth.
Synopsis: Last human has came to the end of his life and he wants to see the Earth for the last time. His two helpping androids (guy and girl) burry dead man into the dust of the Earth.
Comment: There is a good open page and one spread pict of spaceship near planet. Corben’s own story is bellow average.
Alternatives, [VERS.1]: Prob. same as [VERS.2].
Alternatives, [VERS.2]: Colors (and full frontal nudity) are prob. identical to the original. During relettering minor texts changed, as: some “lotta”‘s and “dunno”‘s became “a lot” and “don’t know”. The last frase on the first page, “Huh? …Ola! Out!” changed to “Huh? Roger! – Out.”
Alternatives, [VERS.3]: Reworked black plate from overlays and because of bad paper quality the result is unfortunate mess. Androids are not nude, but wear form fitting space suits. Texts are prob. identical with original, except the last frase on the first page as in [VERS.2].
German prints: There exists two different Schewermetall #1 (1980) prints. “Go Home” was translated differently in them, and the title was altered as well, 1st: “Heim gehen” and 2nd: “Heimkehr”. Only the first print was collected as Sammelband book. Sammelband was not exactly a reprint, but collected from not sold magazines bind together as one book.
