Style: B&W zipatone. Genre: Horror. Time Span: No particular moment of time. Nudity: Full frontal.
Keywords: Movie. Haunted house. Mangy Carcass. Ole Horrible.
Original Art Plate: 27 x 38,3 cm [Source: Angoulême, 2019].
Synopsis: A guy wants to make film about his girl. Voluptuous girl starts to dance nude on fields. Sudden rain forces them to escape into deserted house, where she dreams to make love with Ole Horrible. In the morning they left house, but she cannot get Ole out of her mind.
Comment: Brilliant B&W artwork and his own story is outstanding (this time with unexpectedly hilarious ending). During (and after) movie shooting on fields Corben draws some incredible beautiful nude posings.
Alternatives, [VERS.2]: Same as the original, except there is no first three pages! Altered titled as “Haunted House”.
Alternatives, [VERS.3]: Censored in Spanish Comix Underground USA #2 (1974): additional bra and panties. Also a guy has underpants. The love making frame on the bottom of pg 6 is redraw: a guy lays beside the girl, not on her (pay attention the shadow: guy’s nose is pointing in wrong direction!). On pg 7 (third frame from the end), one of the boob is forgotten to overdraw!
Alternatives, [VERS.4]: Narrator dismissed (three empty frames).
Alternatives, [VERS.5]: Prob. partly colored (bad colors!).
Humour: Mr. Corben made his first animation, Neverwhere [the Movie] in 1968. He had that time a bug, an old Volkswagen. Most likely it was a model vehicle for this story! And I bet, the camera used in the story, was also owned by Mr. Corben.
Extra: Appears also a backcover of Megadeath: Fuck the Neast (1987) Bootleg (?) Record Album version. On yellow background B&W frames from pages 8, 9, and 11, selected and rearranged to tell a story of it’s own. Says, “Printed without permission”, though mentions also “Back Cover Illustrations: Richard Corben”. Artwork prob. taken from the German print since uses onomapoesia, like “SCHLÜRF SCHLECK”. There was no such in the original version.
