Story Origin: Edgar Allan Poe poem, “The Cask of Amontillado”.
Synopsis: A man leads the widowed wife of his friend down to his valut for a zip of wine. He led his friend there as well a decade ago.
Comment: This story was clearly a secondary work for The Premature Burial The art and the story look like there were done quicker than Corben’s previous Poe adaptations. In an interview he said he’s through for Poe adaptations for now. This one looks like one of the last.
